I've been welcoming the new year with some warm cozy drinks and this dairy-free Starbucks copycat recipe is coffee house quality! So skip the line, stay home, and make yourself a nice warm frothy mug to sip on. What's your favorite drink so far this year? Is it an old favorite or something new?
In a small saucepan whisk 4 tablespoons of maple syrup with 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 2 cups of almond milk (or any milk of choice) over medium heat.
Bring to a low boil stirring to incorporate the maple syrup into the milk.
Froth the milk mixture and set aside.
Into each 12-ounce mug pour ¼ cup strong brewed coffee and top with 1 cup of the frothed milk mixture per cup.
Garnish with more ground cinnamon.
