Maggiano’s Little Italy restaurant has these amazing little moon-shaped lemon cookies that are like a soft sugar cookie but bursting with flavor. We always overstuff ourselves when we eat there but somehow find room to savor the lemon cookies when we thought we couldn’t eat anymore.

The restaurant is about an hour away from where we live so when we go we really enjoy it and tend to eat more than we should. But with this recipe, we can now enjoy a copycat of those delicious little cookies! Mine may not be moon-shaped, but they won’t disappoint in flavor!

In January Dove came out with six new chocolate bars and for this recipe I used the Raspberry Rosé Dark Chocolate that Dove describes as “sweet pink layer with raspberry and rosé over silky smooth Dove chocolate.” Well…I’m a big fan of Dove chocolate and when I passed by these new chocolate bars in the store they screamed out at me and I had to try one. I’ll be going back soon to try the other flavors as well, but for now…just enjoy these sophisticated cookies. 🙂

No, seriously…no joke…my milk exploded! I lifted my milk jug to pour a small amount into the batter and it hit my cabinet, which made the milk shoot out and up all over me, my counters, my floor-everywhere! I’ve never seen milk spray upwards the way that it did- it literally rained milk!

My husband got a good laugh when he came to see what my yelp was all about.
