white chOcOlate key lime macadamia nut cOOkies

Spring is right around the corner and I’m having major tropical vibes right now…or I just want to be somewhere tropical. Whatever the case may be, the key lime-infused sugar adds brightness to these cookies that will lift your mood and give you a little taste of paradise.

After a cold winter the 50-degree weather we are having feels like a real heatwave and has me craving sunnier dishes…is that a thing? Sunnier dishes?? lol
And bonus…the lime gives us green for upcoming St. Patrick’s day! While it might not be traditional Irish flavors the green color still counts as being festive, right?! 😉

These cookies were an inspiration of Bravetart’s base chopped chocolate chip cookie recipe zhuzhed up with a bit of lime for an altogether delightful bite!

thai chicken and baby cOrn sOup

Heat things up this Valentine’s Day since it’s bitter cold outside with this spicy corn soup!

Don’t like it hot? No problem, just remove the seeds and membranes from the serrano pepper or omit it all together…but if you really like it hot just add another pepper.

I absolutely love finding new and exciting soup recipes (or old recipes) and revamping them and experimenting with the ingredients…I’m always on the lookout for unique soups to try out. I’ve adapted this recipe from an old Homestyle Chicken cookbook I have to my tastes and I love it…a unique soup to add to my collection to make again and again!!

chicken and vegetable sOup

Breakaway from the traditional chicken noodle soup and try my newest recipe that is full of fresh veggies and tender chicken, and bonus…it’s dairy-free!

It’s officially freezing outside…to the point that my pups need little booties to go out to do their business. The cold seems to seep into your bones and you just can’t get warm enough. The only way to remedy that is to make a steamy homemade soup. I’m talking of making the stock and all from scratch!

Not only will you get more depth of flavor by making your own stock but you will warm up the kitchen. Each spoonful you eat will slowly unthaw you from the inside out…so try this new chicken and veggie soup and keep out the cold.

iced dulce de leche latte with vanilla cOcOnut cream

It might be cold outside and snowy but iced coffee is always in season, right?! I read an article that stated Panera bread is giving away bread bowl gloves to iced coffee drinkers…and it piqued my curiosity, to say the least! I immediately had to read further to see if this was a true bread bowl hot and steamy out of the ovens.

I mean can you imagine seeing someone in the drive-thru being handed a coffee inside of some bread??

The article went on to state that 78% of Americans still drink iced coffee in cold weather, and that Panera wanted to create something to protect the iced coffee drinkers’ hands. The novelty item “Iced & Toasty Bread Bowl Glove is a hand warmer intended to make it look like you have one of Panera’s famous bread bowls wrapped around your iced coffee holding hands.”
Alas, the glove is not made of crusty dough that you can eat but is made of fabric and can’t be purchased. Apparently, only a select number of customers will be selected to receive the item.

While this recipe does not include a bread bowl glove you can still enjoy it wrapped in a comfy warm blanket or…with a pair of your own gloves of choice. lol
