 4 lemons, washed and dried
1 large root of fresh ginger (3-4 thumbs worth)
 8-10-ounces raw honey
 hot water

Gather Ingredients...
1

Prepare Lemons...
2

Thinly slice 4 lemons that have been thoroughly washed and dried.

Remove any seeds from slices.

3

Peel a large ginger root (about 3-4 thumbs worth) and slice thinly.

4

Sterilize a mason jar or glass jar with a lid by placing it in a pan with hot (not boiling) water that covers the jar.
Bring water to a boil for 10 minutes.
Carefully remove the jar from the water and let cool.

Place lemon slices alternately layered with ginger slices into the clean, cooled mason jar.

5

Slowly pour 8-10 ounces of raw honey over lemon slices, pausing to give it time to seep down into the jar.

6

Make sure the lemons are covered with honey, you may need to slide a knife down the side of the jar to get out air bubbles.

Continue to pour more honey over lemons if needed.

7

Store with an airtight lid in the refrigerator overnight to allow the juices of the lemons and honey to mix.

If honey settles at the bottom of the jar, just flip it over with lid secure and let juices mix again.

Mix and Enjoy...
8

Place a couple of lemon slices into a heat-proof mug along with 2-3 tablespoonfuls of the honey/lemon syrup.

9

Fill glass with hot water.

Stir, sip and enjoy!

10

You can also use it for making a spicy lemonade by using cold water and ice cubes in a tall glass.
