Bring on the 4th of July with a bang while sipping on this layered piña colada cocktail. Be a little patriotic and leave out the rum or be a lot patriotic and add an extra splash to your drink. lol
However you enjoy your holiday just make sure to cool down with this patriotic layered drink.
To a blender add 6 diced strawberries, 6 frozen strawberries, the juice of 1 lime, 1 ounce of pineapple juice, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 ounces of white rum, and blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses about 1/3 of the way full.
Rinse the blender with water to make the remaining layers.
To the clean blender add 2 frozen bananas, 3 ounces of coconut cream, 6 ounces of pineapple juice, 2 ounces of white rum, and 1 1/2 cups of ice cubes. Blend until smooth.
Pour into glasses about 1/3 of the way full over top of the strawberry layer. Reserve the remaining piña colada mix for the blue layer.
With the reserved pina colada mix still in the blender, add 1 teaspoon of butterfly pea flower powder and mix again.
Pour the blue layer over the white pina colada layer so you have red, white, and blue layers in your glass.
Sip and enjoy with a sparkler or two!
